Advantages of folding caravans are that they are easy to store, as they aren’t much bigger than a small trailer when folded down and are good when towing, as they usually aren’t affected by cross winds on the motorway. They are a bit time consuming to erect when on site but will give you a good size 2 berth + caravan when fully sited.

They are easy to manouvour both on site and down your driveway. These are perfect for those wanting space and like ‘no frill’ caravanning but are prepared to miss out on some of the luxuries standard caravanning brings. They tend not to hold their prices on the second hand market very well but usually aren’t expensive in the first place. A good alternative to the trailer tent.
